Learning Content Developer

Regions in 20+ States

Monarch Investment and Management Group is one of the largest multifamily property management companies in the United States, managing a nationwide portfolio of apartment communities across numerous markets. With a strong focus on operational excellence, resident experience, and internal growth, the company continues to expand its presence across diverse markets nationwide.

I joined Monarch as a National Leasing Trainer, where I facilitated training programs and supported onsite teams across the company’s portfolio. Through my initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and additional departmental support, I worked closely with the Director of Training to help shape and transition into a newly developed Learning Content Developer role. This transition allowed me to focus more heavily on creating engaging learning materials, visual resources, process documentation, and training content designed to support employees across multiple roles and departments throughout the organization.

Achievements / Responsibilities

  • Received consistently positive feedback from trainees and leadership, contributing to improved employee performance, confidence, and retention.

  • Developed and facilitated training programs focused on customer service, sales techniques, conflict management, fair housing, and administrative operations using Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint, and multiple LMS platforms.

  • Evaluated training opportunities through secret shop results, employee performance reviews, and operational feedback to recommend and implement targeted learning solutions.

  • Helped organize, expand, and maintain the company’s training resource library, including the development of leasing, retention, and operational training manuals.

  • Coordinated and delivered live webinars and virtual training sessions through GoTo Webinar and Microsoft Teams, alongside in-person group and one-on-one coaching.

  • Trained newly hired employees to prepare them for success in their roles, ensuring they were equipped with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to perform effectively.

  • Provided continued development and advanced training for experienced employees to strengthen performance, reinforce best practices, and support ongoing professional growth.

  • Designed supplemental learning materials and visual training resources using Word, Canva, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel, Publisher, and other digital design tools.

  • Developed comprehensive online training courses using Articulate Storyline, designing highly interactive and engaging modules that enhance learner participation, knowledge retention, and alignment with company branding.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT:

Rather than trainees watching a video screenshare of someone using our CRM system, I recreated an interactive simulation of the CRM system from scratch using Articulate Storyline - allowing for realistic hands-on experience to benefit learning retention.

Senior Leasing Agent

Grand Rapids, MI

Land & Co. was home to the largest apartment community in the local market, a 1,764-unit residential property that required a high level of coordination, efficiency, and strong customer service across a fast-paced leasing environment. Working within such a large-scale community provided extensive experience in managing high traffic leasing activity, resident relations, and operational consistency across a high-volume portfolio.

I started as a Leasing Agent, where I was responsible for guiding prospective residents through the leasing process, including providing detailed information on floor plans, conducting in-person and virtual tours, and supporting applicants through application submission and approval. Over time, I was selected for a newly created Senior Leasing Agent role, where I took on expanded responsibilities supporting the leasing team, assisting with training new leasing consultants, and helping improve overall team performance and consistency across daily operations.
